On April 20, 1997, the Image of the Divine Mercy was enshrined in the chapel of our monastery in Georgetown. Since that day, we have committed ourselves to intercede for the apostolate, and most recently, for Mary's
Eucharistic Intercessors.
Mary's Eucharistic Intercessors are groups of lay people being formed across our country and throughout the whole world, to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament in intercessory prayer for bishops and
priests.
Catholics must pray for priests and bishops to be holy as Jesus is holy. In forming communities of intercessors, the laity are proclaiming the great mercy of God as revealed in the sacraments, especially in the Holy Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Holy Orders. They are also witnessing to their love and faith in the Eucharist, and belief in the power and dignity of the priesthood instituted by Christ on Holy Thursday night.
